Position Announcement: Range Scientist, Assistant Professor of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation

Description:   Applications are invited for a 12-month tenure-track position with a 60% Extension (Florida Cooperative Extension Service) and 40% Research (Florida Agricultural Experiment Station) appointment.  The position is located in south-central Florida with current tenure assignment with the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation http://www.wec.ufl.edu); however, the selected candidate may select a tenure departmental home more appropriately aligned with their disciplinary expertise, such as Agronomy or Animal Sciences.

Position Announcement: Extension Educator - Livestock & 4-H Youth Development

Description: University of Idaho Extension is seeking applicants for the permanent, 12-month, tenure-track position of Assistant Professor, Extension Educator, Livestock and 4-H Youth Development. The position is located in the Adams County Extension Office in Council, Idaho. Adams County is located in central Idaho and consists of forested mountains and river valleys. The county is primarily rural, with Council (popn. 3,600) and New Meadows (popn. 550) being the two incorporated towns. The county historically has had an agriculture and natural resource base economy with a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities. The Extension Educator will provide overall leadership and organization for multi-county livestock programs (70%). In addition the Educator will provide leadership and support for the county 4-H Youth Development program (20%), and serve as chair of the Adams County Extension Office (10%).

Description: The Department of Agricultural Sciences at West Texas A&M University and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service are seeking an Assistant Professor of Range Science to develop an effective and productive teaching, research (60%) and extension program (40%) in the Texas High Plains. This full time (12 month) tenure track position at West Texas A&M University has been created to attract and support an outstanding faculty member with responsibilities in teaching/extension/research supportive of the rangeland industry in the Texas Panhandle and Great Plains.  It is expected that this position will develop programs supporting the department and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and the ranching/wildlife constituents in the areas of teaching, development and delivery of extension programs to the ranching/wildlife management community and applied research (rangeland resource/grassland management).
